About Night Art Gallery
Lindstrom, Minnesota
Where Art, Heritage, and Scandinavian Spirit Come Alive
Welcome to Night Art Gallery, a destination where fine art meets rich cultural history in the heart of Lindström, Minnesota — “America’s Little Sweden.” Located just 35 minutes north of the Twin Cities, the gallery is an inspiring stop along the Swedish Immigrant Trail and a must-see attraction for visitors exploring the Chisago Lakes region.
An Art & Heritage Destination
Night Art Gallery showcases many original artworks from regional and national artists in a beautifully curated setting that reflects both Scandinavian design and Minnesota craftsmanship. The gallery offers an immersive cultural experience — blending modern creativity with the stories and spirit of the area’s early Swedish settlers.
Our exhibits change regularly, ensuring that every visit offers something new to experience — from contemporary landscapes and Nordic-inspired pieces to historical displays celebrating Minnesota’s immigrant legacy.
The Vilhelm Moberg Rare Signed Book Exhibit
At the heart of our cultural collection is the Vilhelm Moberg Rare Signed Book Exhibit, featuring authentic first editions and signed works by the celebrated Swedish author of The Emigrants series.
Moberg lived and researched in nearby Chisago County, where he drew inspiration from local landmarks and families who journeyed from Sweden to start anew in Minnesota. This exclusive exhibit invites guests to connect literature, history, and place — standing within the very community that shaped Moberg’s world-famous story.
Through this exhibit, Night Art Gallery helps keep alive the legacy of Swedish immigration, offering visitors a meaningful link between art, literature, and regional identity.
Next Door to the Swedish Gift Store
Right next door, you’ll find our sister business — the Swedish Gift Store — a charming shop celebrating Scandinavian culture through authentic gifts, home décor, candles, foods, and artisan goods.
Together, the two spaces create a one-of-a-kind cultural corridor where visitors can experience art, heritage, and shopping all in one stop. Many visitors spend the day exploring both venues, discovering Swedish craftsmanship, local artists, and Nordic-inspired products that capture the essence of Minnesota’s Scandinavian heartland.
Visitors often describe the experience as “stepping into Sweden without leaving Minnesota” — a perfect blend of creativity, culture, and community.
Where Art Inspires and Community Connects
Night Art Gallery is more than a gallery — it’s a community gathering place that celebrates artistic expression, heritage storytelling, and local pride.
We regularly host artist receptions, special exhibits, and cultural events that bring together travelers, art collectors, and residents who share a love for the region’s rich Scandinavian roots.
By partnering with Explore Minnesota Tourism, the Gallery proudly contributes to the region’s growing reputation as a Scandinavian heritage destination — inviting visitors from across the Midwest and beyond to experience the creative soul of Lindström.
