"Bless This House"
I loved the idea of making a happy frame around a happy couple. I used the crown, which is a popular motif in Swedish folk art. The couple is wearing the Swedish national costume. Blue and yellow are also the colors of the flag. I used flowers to make most of the archway and drew them in an exaggerated folk style. The traditional folk art is alive and well in the area where my family originated.
